New research shows that Iowa youth credit their 4-H club experiences with making them better citizens, leaders and communicators. Iowa 4-H’er survey responses offer solid evidence that participation in Iowa 4-H clubs provides youth opportunities to learn and practice critical workplace skills that employers seek such as active listening, critical thinking, effective speaking and writing, time management, team building, sound decision making and service to others.
See and hear three 4-H’ers at work at the 2009 Iowa State Fair. They are tomorrow’s leaders in action.

It’s fantastic to see 4-Hers learning about new technologies and how to speak infront of a camera. Great job everyone!

Well done. I think that the real story of the featured youth is probably understated. They are outstanding.

We should have EVERY county create a video like this, and send them ALL in to the state legislature, and we can show them how CRUCIAL 4-H is for youth.
